JAPAN - For those looking for a walk down history lane, visiting Fukuoka can be a blast. Northern Kyushu is famous for being the point of contact for other Asian countries. This led to the creation of the first soba and udon noodles in Japan along with the establishment of the first Zen Buddhist temple.
There are also plenty of interesting places to visit in lively Fukuoka City. Tourists can check out family eateries, various shopping malls, and wonderful coffee shops.
In order to escape the summer heat, people can also go to the two downtown districts Hakata and Tenjin, and partake in exciting festivals.
